Provision of Services Regulations 2009

 

The following information is provided pursuant to the Provision of Services Regulations 2009 (SI2009/2999).  For further information, please refer to our Terms of Engagement and, for existing clients, our Engagement Letter.  A copy of our standard Terms of Engagement is available on request.

 

Regulation

 

Golding Smith & Partners Limited (“the Company”) of New Broad Street House, 35 New Broad Street, London EC2M 1NH is a limited liability company registered in England & Wales with a registered number of 4457396 and with its registered office at 118 Station Road, Liss, Hampshire GU33 7AQ. The Company is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 but we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are members (as defined under that Act) of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, a Designated Professional Body.  We can provide these investment services if they are an incidental part of the professional services we have been engaged to provide.

 

We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.  However, we are included on the register maintained by the Financial Conduct Authority so that we can carry on insurance mediation activity, which is broadly the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts. This part of our business, including arrangements for complaints or redress if something goes wrong, is regulated by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. The register can be accessed via the Financial Conduct Authority website at www.fca.org.uk/register.

 

All contracts and disputes are governed by English Law.

 

Professional indemnity insurance

 

We maintain professional indemnity insurance which complies with the rules of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Our professional indemnity insurance is provided by Beazley Solutions Limited, Plantation Place South, 60 Great Tower Street, London EC3R 5AD trading as Beazley IDL and is underwritten by certain syndicates at Lloyd’s. The territorial coverage is worldwide and the jurisdiction is worldwide excluding USA/Canada.
